Hey everyone! It's been ages since we got real. Anyways, K and I have been busy, busy, busy. Right now we have a show up at A Ship in the Woods in Del Mar, CA. It's called Psycho-Pomp: An Eschatological Guide to the Future. It's about the apocalypse. The show looks great, and, if you show up, could possibly (but probably not) be the last thing you ever see! At any rate, it'll be a good time, so come out if you can.
PS: There may also be witches!
PPS: Big update soon?

IMPORTANT "ICE CREAM SOCIAL NETWORK" UPDATE! DATES HAVE BEEN CHANGED!
Hello everyone!
We have some important updates regarding F*C*004. For some reasons beyond our control, and some completely within our control, Ice Cream Social Network is getting pushed back a bit. Regarding the former, K and I are dealing with some ongoing health issues, and would like to have them more or less resolved before we start such a mammoth undertaking. As for the latter, we have had an opportunity to toss our net into a much larger ocean, so to speak, but in order to do so we've been obliged to extend the deadline for submissions. Additionally, we've had some very excellent makers contact us with concerns about the April deadline, so it seems to us that the project will be that much stronger if we give people some more time to do what they need to do. There have also been some slight changes in the wording of the call that we feel might open up some new possibilities. Obviously, if you've already got your piece ready, feel free to send it our way.
NEW DATES (The call has been edited to reflect these changes.):
Submission deadline: 1 June 2012, 5 PM
Notification by: 10 June 2012, 5 PM
Website launch: 15 June 2012
We can't wait to see what you've put together, and are extremely excited about making F*C*004: Ice Cream Social Network happen.
Cheers,
Bernie & Kristen

This happened. It was great.
Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, brought us in as visiting artists / critics this week. It was a really great, gratifying experience. So thank you to everyone who made it happen, who came out to our talk, and let us into their studios. It was the best. We could do this sort of thing every day.

GARDENS are playing the Axe + Fiddle tomorrow at 8 PM!
We are in San Diego now. Getting settled. Getting done being ill. Getting right with God. THIS is in Oregon. The show is FREE. GARDENS are friends of ours, so, if you are in the area, don't bone them. Go to this and buy a record. Help these scruffy psych-garage punks get to Missoula and beyond. If you are not in the Willamette Valley they are playing many more shows in many more places.
Gardens will be playing at the Axe + Fiddle in Cottage Grove, OR, on Wednesday, Nov 2nd. The show is free. Starts at 8 PM.

Summer update! (If you really, like, NEED to know what we're up to...)
Hey everyone!
It's been a while since we rapped at you, but you know how it goes (probably). And we thought it might be a good idea to let you all know what we've been up to lately, what projects we've been working on, etc. We're back home in Detroit (finally!), for the time being at least, and busy working on a number of things. Though most are related to our personal art practices or academic research, and only tangentially connected to our "Freelance" "Curator" endeavors, it's possible you might still be interested? I hope? More after the cut.

TWO GREAT EVENTS WE DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS WEEKEND!
Hey everyone!
If you are in the Detroit area tonight, Sonny & The Sunsets and The Sandwitches are playing the Pike Room in Pontiac. Doors are at 7:30 PM, which probably means The Sandwitches will be on a bit after 10? It will be amazing! FOR REAL.
Here's the information:
If you are in Portland this weekend, you have the opportunity to go to this: http://www.epiclylaterd.com/SuperSkateSummer2011.html
It will be incredible. Go to it! Don't be a sucker!
